One record per day: how many of each trade were on the works, on which bridge.
What it is not
This is not the manpower plan. Admin → Manpower holds the plan — how many of each trade the job is supposed to have — and it is edited whenever that target changes.
This is the record of a day, and it must never change afterwards. Keeping the two in one screen would mean editing today's target silently rewrote last March, which is exactly the figure a client asks about when the month is questioned.
Filling it in
- Where the work was — the bridge or chainage, chosen from the site's structures. Leave it blank when the day covers the whole site. Then the shift, and who the figures came from.
- Manpower — a line per trade: the designation from the shared list, the company (blank means your own crew), how many, and anything worth saying.
- Total on Site adds itself up as you type.
Press Fill from attendance and the whole table is written from the roster: everybody marked present on that date, counted by trade. Correct it if the roster is behind, and add lines the roster does not cover — a subcontractor's gang, for instance, is on the works without being on your staff register.
Why the designation is a list
The trades come from one register, shared with the staff cards and the manpower plan. Typed free-hand, "Rigger" and "Rigging" become two trades within a month and neither can be added up. A trade that is genuinely missing is added under Admin → People → Designations and then appears everywhere at once.
