All help

Does the site need internet on the rig?

The records are entered in a browser, so a connection is needed at the moment of typing. In practice the crew fills the day's records where there is signal — the site office, the cabin, or a phone at the end of the shift — and the checks catch what a paper form would not.

What if two people file the same pile?

They cannot. A daily pile log is tied to a planned pile, and a planned pile takes one record. The report number is settled when the record is saved, not when the form was opened, so two people typing at once do not collide.

Can we still use our own Excel forms?

Yes, for loading: the pile schedule and the stock list are both imported from spreadsheets, with the columns matched by their headings. And for getting data out, every register exports to CSV. What stops is the copying-and-retyping in between.

What happens to a mistake that was already approved?

An administrator can reopen it. Every change is kept with the name of whoever made it and the time, so a corrected record shows what it used to say.

Somebody left the company. Do we delete them?

Retire them instead — the card goes off the roster and their past days stay on record. Deleting a person would rewrite months of attendance.

We moved a man to another site for a week. Do we change his card?

No. Mark him at the site he worked on, on those days. The card says where somebody usually reports; the day's record says where they were.

Our stock figure does not match the shelf. What now?

Count it and record a stock take. The difference is written to the ledger with your name on it, and the balance follows. Nothing is overwritten, so next month it is still possible to see what happened.

Can a client or consultant be given access?

Yes — as a viewer, tied to one project. They see the boards and the records for that site and can change nothing.

Is our data mixed with other companies'?

No. Each company has its own database, not a shared one with a column saying who owns each row. That is what makes a mix-up impossible rather than unlikely.

Who owns the records?

You do. Any register exports to CSV, any record prints as a PDF, and the whole database can be downloaded from the backup screen at any time.

Something we need is missing. Can it be added?

Usually, yes — the forms are definitions rather than hard-coded screens, so a new column, a new check or a whole new report type is a change to a definition rather than a rewrite. If a site is still keeping a parallel spreadsheet, that is the thing to say.
