One per day for the whole site: who was there, what plant worked, what was produced, what went wrong.
This is the sheet the contractor's own management reads, and the one that takes the longest to fill in by hand. Two buttons remove most of that work.
Filling it in
- Personnel — press Fill from attendance. The day's roster is counted: staff as indirect, crew as direct, each split between your own people and subcontracted. You can type over the result, and if you do, the report page will tell you it no longer agrees with the roster.
- Equipment — a line per machine and company, with how many worked, how many stood idle and how many were down. The Daily Equipment Summary in the corner (own / rented / subcontractor) adds itself up.
- Production — Company is chosen from the firm list (Admin → Companies); Location suggests the site's bridges — the same chainages the pile records are filed against — but accepts anything you type. Press Fill from piling records. Every pile logged for that date is written in as a production line: how many, of what type, on which axis, and the metres drilled, all in one sentence. Add anything the pile logs do not cover.
- Plant — machine by machine — press Fill from the plant register and every machine still on site is written in, set to Working. The day's work is changing the ones that did not run. This is what makes the board able to say how many days RIG-04 worked this month; the count table above cannot, because "3 rigs active" says nothing about which three.
- HSE — lost time injury, medical treatment case, first aid case, near miss, unsafe act, unsafe condition, toolbox talk.
- Quality — technical issues raised and rectifications closed.
- Delays — the reason from a list, the hours lost, and a note. Choosing from a list is what makes "why did we lose the month" answerable later.
Why the buttons matter
The same headcount typed twice is two headcounts that disagree by the end of the month, and nobody can say which one the client was shown. Here the roster is the record and the report reads from it. Where they differ, the report says so and leaves the decision to a person.
Who the companies are
The company column on the equipment and delay tables is a fixed set of places — your own crews, hired plant, and six subcontractor slots — because the summary at the foot of the sheet counts them that way.
Under Admin → Companies you say who each of those places actually is. Once SUBCONT. 3 is named, every screen and every printed report reads the firm's name instead, including the reports already saved.
What is stored does not change. The record still holds the slot, which is why:
- Naming a subcontractor today does not rewrite the six months of reports that were filled in before anybody said who they were.
- Replacing one firm with another in the same slot is a rename, not a migration. If you need the old reports to keep the old name, use a free slot for the new firm rather than renaming the used one.
- Every total, filter and formula keeps working, because none of them ever sees the name.
Names can be set for every site or for one site. A name against a site wins there, so a subcontractor brought in for a single job is named on that job only.
